What cane sizes are available?
Webbing comes in rolls of 25 x 2 ft, 25 x 3 ft and 18 x 3 ft, with cut sizes available. Woven sheets are 11.48 x 3 ft.
What is the difference between natural and PVC cane?
Natural cane is woven from cane itself, in natural and brown. PVC cane is a synthetic webbing in white and yellow, in the same star weave.
Which weaves are available?
Open star, square and diamond webbing, plus woven sheets in grid, basketweave, herringbone, zigzag, diamond twill, checker and chip texture.
Where is cane used in interiors?
On feature walls, wardrobe and cabinet shutters, headboards and furniture inlays.
Can I see Cane before I choose?
Yes. Cane is on display at the Inlife Experience Centre, 2 Baker Street, Choolai, Chennai. Visit Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 8 pm, or arrange a time and we will have it laid out for you.

A guide to cane
Cane brings the woven texture of rattan to walls, shutters and furniture. Inlife carries natural and PVC cane webbing on the roll, and woven rattan-look sheets in a wide run of weaves and tones.
Two formats
- Cane webbing
- Natural cane in natural and brown, and PVC cane in white and yellow, in open star, square and diamond weaves. Rolls are 25 x 2 ft (50 sq ft), 25 x 3 ft (75 sq ft) and 18 x 3 ft (54 sq ft), with cut sizes available.
- Woven rattan sheets
- 42 designs in 11.48 x 3 ft sheets, woven as grids, basketweaves, herringbones, zigzags, diamond twills, checks and chip textures.
Colours
Tones run from pale natural and light wood through mid and dark browns, with greys, whites and a few blues. Pale weaves keep a room light and airy; darker browns feel richer and more traditional.

Designing with cane
Cane pairs naturally with teak, brass, linen and white plaster. An open weave lets the colour behind it show through, so think about what sits behind a shutter or panel. Tight basketweaves and herringbones read more like a textile.

Bring a photo of the room or the drawings to the Experience Centre in Choolai, Chennai, and we will set the options out side by side. Samples can also be sent to offices in Chennai for viewing.
