Material guide

Choosing a floor

Choose the floor early. It decides the base colour of a room and how loud footsteps sound, before any furniture goes in.

The flooring range

SPC flooring
Rigid-core planks in wood and stone looks, for homes and offices.
Vinyl flooring
Planks, tiles and sheets for homes, clinics and retail.
Wooden flooring
Laminate and engineered wood, in plank and herringbone.
Carpet tiles, planks and rolls
Soft floors for offices, hotels, home theatres and bedrooms.
Artificial grass
Turf for terraces, play areas and landscaped corners.

How to choose

Start with the room. Living rooms and bedrooms usually get wood looks. Offices and hotels often put carpet in the seating and work zones and a hard floor in corridors. Clinics and retail tend towards vinyl in sheet or plank form.

Then the look: wood or stone, pale or deep, plank or herringbone. Finally, walk on it. Every floor in the range is laid out at the Experience Centre in Choolai, so you can feel the difference underfoot.

SPC, vinyl or laminate?

SPC has a rigid stone-plastic core and comes in click planks. Vinyl is more flexible and comes in planks, tiles and sheets. Laminate has an HDF core with a wood décor. All three carry realistic wood looks; they differ in feel, sound and the formats available.
