Vinyl flooring is a thin, flexible floor made of PVC, with a printed surface under a clear wear layer. It comes as planks, tiles and sheet rolls, in wood, stone, concrete, marble, terrazzo and carpet looks, for homes, clinics, offices and shops.
How it is made
Most vinyl floors share four layers: a backing, a printed design layer, a clear wear layer and a top coat. The print carries the look of wood, stone or textile; the clear layers over it give the surface its sheen and texture.
